I’m always looking for new ideas for toys for my little one especially those that are easy on the wallet. Here are some ideas that I thought were neat to share with you all and are also less then $15.
- A company called MiYim has created a new stroller toy line with a garden vegetable theme. They range from cute little corn husks to strawberries to peas in a pod – all are natural and hand-dyed. Price: $8.99 at Miyim.
- Gellie Baff. This may not be for everyone but this is a new spin on Jell-O. Now your little ones can bathe in it! You can pour a box of Gellie Baff in your tub and watch the water turn to a gooey slime. The neat thing about it is that it is safe, doesn’t stain and actually leaves the skin feeling soft. The clean-up is easy – once the bath is done, sprinkle the dissolver packet (included) and the goo disappears. Price: $12.95 here.
- Animal tools. Learning Resources has created a new spin on children’s work tools. They have added cute animal designs to them like a monkey wrench, hammerhead shark, duck tape measure, and more. It can make fixing things so much fun. Price: $12.99 for each set at Learning Resources.
- Squatz. These are neat play items because they are blank when you buy them and their character is revealed when put under water. They range from aliens, ninjas, robots, pirates, wrestlers, and more). Another fun quality is that their heads are interchangeable so they can be traded with friends. Price: $5.99 at Squatz World.
- Furreal Friends Snuggimals. These are cute, furry, palm-sized puppies, kittens, and bunnies. And when you snuggle with one and pat its back to tummy, it responds by moving its head and wagging its tail. Price: $7.99 at Hasbro.
These items were found in an article called “2010′s Hottest Toys: 13 Picks for $15 or less ” from Parenting.com. To see the entire list go to http://www.parenting.com/gear-gallery/Gear/Toy-Fair-10-15-or-Less.
