Green Home Redecorating
By eliza, July 23, 2010, Be Green & Save, For Moms, Shopping Tips
If you have finally made the decision to go green but are not sure how to incorporate it into you’re upcoming home project, here are some tips that I found helpful:
- First of all, get over the idea that “going green” is pricey. Too many people give up on helping out the planet because they do not look in the right places for what they would like.
- Take a trip to your nearby Goodwill store to search for some reusable treasures. I know I have and I simply spray paint them and use them to decorate my apartment.
- Look into changing the dining room style by purchasing a new table, think again and gather unused or recycled lumber and use finishing to create a masterpiece.
- There are incentives to going green! If you are thinking of dumping some pieces of furniture, look into donating it to the closest Habitat for Humanity warehouse and enjoy a tax write-off.
- Redecorating this summer does not have to cost much and does not have to be harmful to the environment. What might be consider a pain now, may save your life in the future.
