Money Saving Ideas – A Visual Potlock for Foodies

Perhaps a bit of a reach with the saving money aspect, but a stumble worth noting nonetheless.

I’ve discovered TasteSpotting, a community driven visual potlock. Mouthful? Yes, and pun duly noted.

At first glance, the cascade of images on the front page of the site is a bit overwhelming. A filtering feature allows you to sift through various visual goodies by date, category, popularity and at random. The recipes themselves are almost hyper-aggregated, pulled from blogs and foodcore sites across the www, with goodies ranging from kale chips to Jell-o for adults.

How does this apply to money saving ideas you ask?

Suffice to say that having access to a visual reel of recipes that number in the hundreds … well that’s a database of new food ideas to help you vary your cooking ways, and variety + versatility are two of the best weapons for shopping and eating on a dime.

I’m the same way. Love to cook, hate to interpret bad recipes.
