Daily Deal Sites…Buy A Deal Today!

Just recently I have discovered that there are many sites that offer daily deals that range from 30-90% off everything and anything you can think of. Some of them focus on just one market: restaurants, hotels, or spas , but the most popular ones that are dominating the scene are Groupon and Livingsocial.
Groupon and Livingsocial work similarly:
- Everyday a different deal is offered
- If enough people choose to purchase this “deal” it goes through and you pay
The differences:
- Groupon rewards a $10 credit to your account every time you get a friend to sign up
- Groupon: about 157 listed, including Canadian cities
- Some of these cities are featured as coming soon
- Livingsocial rewards you a FREE deal if you get 3 friends to also buy the deal
- Livingsocial: 95 US cities, 4 cities in Europe
- Expanding to cities in South America and Asia
I am a member of both sites and I can say that I have bought “deals” from both. But I must say that there is nothing like getting a FREE deal. A couple weeks ago there was a Brazilian Keratin deal and I was able to get 3 friends to buy it as well and I received mine for free. From that day on I was TEAM LIVINGSOCIAL.
There are some up and coming sites that may not be offering deals in every city but they are in the works of getting there. Sites like Getgrouby.com, buywithme.com, and mydailydeals.com are similar to the other monster daily deal sites but are small scale. Getgrouby and Buywithme are sites that, like the first ones mention, require a minimum of customer to purchase and the deal is on!
What makes MyDailyDeals a bit different is that they focus on the customer and the possible vendor they are about to do business with. They provide a way for the customer to communicate via online forum with the merchant. In this forum, the consumer can ask a variety of questions and inquire about the product that is being offered that day.
Although most of the deals offered by these sites favor female customers, improvement on expanding the deals for males and for both sexes can already be seen. Favorites like nail and eyebrow specials equal out with golf and boat day rentals.
