More than Just Thanksgiving in November

If you think the only major event in November is Thanksgiving, then think again my friends. November is packed with events all over the state. Here are some you might be interested in:
- Terlingua International Chili Cookoff- This event is held on the first Saturday of November and is a 4 day long event. It has been around since 1967 with at least 200 teams still competing annually today.
- Wurstfest- The event to celebrate German sausage! This event is held annually from the end of October to the first week of November. It attracts over 100,000 visitors and admission is $8.
- HEB Holiday Parade- This is Texas’s longest running parade held in Houston every Thanksgiving morning. General admission is free but if you’d like the “better” view, tickets start at $10.
There are more events not mentioned above, check your local paper for the nearest events or those that interest you.
