Frugal Holiday Party Guide

As it is, most of us are already feeling the financial drain that comes along with the holidays but how can we sacrifice fun, family, and friends at this expense! Holiday parties are a fun way to bring everyone together during the holidays but they can also be expensive to put on. Here are some pointers for throwing a holiday party that’s within your budget.
First, the invitations. Evite has made it possible to send invitations without the extra cost of envelopes and stamps. With technology and internet use at our finger tips, there is no need to think that the holiday party Evite you have sent will not be seen. Use this free and hip type of invitation to communicate the party details to all those you want to be there.
Next, once you know the amount of people, you can figure out how much food you will be needing. In order to not spend an arm and a leg on the dinner menu, offer to make the main dish, turkey, chicken, ham, and let your guests take care of the side dishes. Tablecloths, plates, and utensils can be purchased at your nearby dollar store.
After this point, it is only the details that you need to figure out. Figure out how to make some cute little décor or party items and plug in that Ipod to get the party started!
