Like it or not, the end of the year also means tax season is just around the corner.  And that means the run-around of finding forms, filling-in forms, finding out that you got the wrong form, and filling-in yet another form.

Fortunately, TurboTax.com is offering TurboTax Federal Free Edition this year. TurboTax Federal Free Edition is designed for folks who plan to file the Federal 1040EZ form this year.

The great thing is that TurboTax takes the ordeal out of the whole tax ordeal.  They walk you through it just like using a GPS system.  You know where you are, where you are gong to and if you need to go back, you can. They help figure out your return and get you the largest refund you are legaly entitled do…and you can file your return electronically from their site for free.

You can also just try it out anonymously without creating an account.

Of course, they offer basic and deluxe versions for people who have more complex tax filing needs such as mortgage deductions, childcare, IRA accounts, etc.  These are cheap ($19.95 for Basic, $29.95 for Deluxe) and include things like free phone suport, Education Expense Optimizers, plus information guides covering 350 deductions and credits.  They offer state income tax packages, as well.
