January Events in Texas

January is a great month to be a Texan. So many events so little time. Here are a few that seem to not be disappointing.
- Cotton Bowl: On January 7th the classic bowl game will be played in Arlington, in the Cowboy Stadium.
- Houston Boat Show: This event will open on January 7th and last 10 days. It will be held at the Reliant Center and will showcase new boats, fishing and camping equipment among other things.
- San Antonio Mud Festival: The San Antonio river gets drained every January and therefore an event has been created to celebrate these days. From January 7-16 visitors can come to the Riverwalk and enjoy the Mud Art contest and the Mud Pie Ball.
- Houston Marathon: On January 30th, Houston’s largest sporting event will take place. This has been going on for over 30 years and the tradition continues.
