Calling all foodies… Bounce Energy has a new rewards item for you! Pay your bill on time for 6 consecutive months and you will earn a $50 Restaurant.com gift card to spend at any participating restaurant. Getting money back is fun but deciding where to use your Restaurant.com gift card is even better.   As a fellow restaurant go-er and a lover of food, here are my top five Houston restaurants on Restaurant.com that won’t disappoint.

Block 7 Wine Company
720 Shepherd
Houston, TX 77007
(713) 572-2565

Start the weekend off right with a short detour off Washington Ave, to Block 7 Wine Co.  This retail wine shop/ restaurant concept provides an unpretentious atmosphere, with prices that will not disappoint.  Complementary wine tastings are a normal event and the kitchen delivers some of the most creative, delectable dishes in town.  Order off of their $4 happy hour menu, or stick around for dinner – either way, don’t miss the Block 7 Burger, voted one of the best in H-town!

Daily Review Cafe
3412 West Lamar
Houston, TX 77019
(713) 520-9217

Searching for a Saturday morning brunch spot?  Look no further than Daily Review Cafe.  Tucked off of Dunlavy, west of downtown, this quaint little place has a diverse, contemporary menu with tons of options.   If you are lucky, or willing to wait a bit, the patio is the place to be on a comfortable spring morning.  The southwestern eggs benedict is must for breakfast, and the lobster taco salad will please those looking for a lighter lunch option.  If you are around during the week, don’t miss out on the southern fried chicken and mashed potatoes – a comfort food classic, cooked to perfection.

Mark’s
1658 Westheimer
Houston, TX 77006
(713) 523-3800

Now that you have your restaurant.com gift card, there is no need for that special occasion to visit Mark’s.  Housed in a renovated 1920’s church, this Houston landmark will provide a truly enjoyable dining experience.  Constantly voted near or at the top of culinary polls, Mark’s delivers on ambiance, service and quality.   The menu provides a wide array of seafood and meats, prepared with techniques reserved for true Top Chefs.  Duck confit, anyone?

Buffalo Grille
1301 S Voss Rd
Houston, TX 77057
(713) 784-3663

Whether casually waking from a night out, or winding down from a busy morning at church, be sure to beat the Sunday brunch crowd at Buffalo Grille.  The second location near Voss and Woodway has relieved some of the congestion at the original location, but you can still anticipate a line for some of the best breakfast around.  Save room for a stack of blueberry pancakes, thick-cut peppered bacon, huevos rancheros, and a hot cup of cinnamon coffee.  The ranch décor will make you feel right at home, buffalo head included.

Cafe Pita +
10890 Westheimer
Houston, TX 77042
(713) 953-7237

Cap the weekend off European style, with a relaxed dinner and espresso at Café Pita.  As seen on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” this casual café is situated in an eclectic shopping center off Westheimer, near Wilcrest. It’s a great place to grab a pizza with some extra flair, or branch out into more adventurous flavors.  Café Pita offers authentic Bosnian cuisine, including cevap, burek, and lepinja bread, as well as more recognizable food items like pizzas, gyros and kabobs.  As an added bonus, it is a BYOB (bring your own beverage) restaurant, which is a plus!
